Job Description

  • In this role, you will require a strong understanding of PIC’s Change Methodology and Programme and Project governance processes to ensure these are followed and to champion change within the business.
  • To work with the Programme / Project teams, STO and business support functions to ensure that the Programme / Project are delivered in the right way.
  • To apply change governance knowledge to ensure the programmes and projects achieve positive outcomes and contribute to PIC’s overall strategic objectives
  • To apply Change knowledge and insights to support STO in the continual improvement of the Business Change processes and procedures.

Specific accountabilities assigned to the role of Project Support Officer within the Change Delivery Function.

  • Responsible for managing key monthly portfolio management RAID processes and providing guidance and support to programmes and projects
  • Responsible for the change portfolio contractor recruitment process
  • Support key portfolio management processes, such as; financial management and resource managemeny
  • Producing reports and management information to senior management meetings including PSG, QBR and ExCo
  • Providing supporting and guidance to the Change Delivery team in all aspects of portfolio, programme and project level process and procedures
  • Supporting the analysis of all portfolio level data providing insight to the health of the portfolio and effectiveness of delivery
  • Supporting the STO in the continuous improvement of the Business Change process, procedures and tools
  • Supporting the STO in carrying out Programme and Project quality assurance reviews
  • Effectively collaborates with Programme and Project teams, STO and other supporting functions (HR, TP&O, DPO, Finance)
  • Takes ownership for their own learning and development in both technical (e.g. data analysis and critical judgement) and non-technical (self-insight and relationship management) skills of Change Delivery.
  • Keeps informed of industry trends, market developments, regulatory changes in the public and private sectors, as well as best practices related to Change Management by attending industry seminars, reading and sharing relevant published articles.

Requirements

Knowledge

  • Good experience of working in a change portfolio office environment.
  • Good experience of working across structured Programme, Project and Change environments
  • Experience working in a corporate or consulting environment, the majority in insurance industry
  • Experience in delivering portfolio management support through running key governance activities such as RAID management, Financial & Benefit Management, Resource Management, Portfolio Reporting etc
  • Good understanding of Programme and Project Methodologies; including, Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid delivery methods.
  • Established knowledge of key portfolio management processes; including, Resource Management, Financial and Benefit Management, Planning, Risk and Issue Management.
  • Established knowledge of data analysis techniques used for analysis of Portfolio, Programme and Project data
  • Knowledge of Portfolio Management process
