Nottingham Trent House (95002), United Kingdom, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire Governance Analyst - Associate About this role You’ll perform a key first line of defence role to ensure UK Tech departmental processes comply with applicable requirements.  You’ll be responsible for executing moderately complex, risk-based compliance testing with support, for the purpose of independently validating business line adherence to applicable requirements such as the Information Security Standard (ISS) and regulatory requirements, where applicable, such as Consumer Credit, Data Protection and FCA requirements etc. ​What you’ll do Test adherence to business regulatory requirements under Federated Enterprise Controls Test risk-based compliance under locally identified and tested Controls Support and deliver on wider Office of the Divisional Chief Information Officer (ODCIO) initiatives Execute Control testing in line with Enterprise requirements Ensure all tasks and reporting inputs are completed within established timeframes Manage testing schedules to ensure all tasks and reporting are completed within established timeframes Obtain and analyse current, historic, and potential future, test data from multiple sources, following documented test plans, and testing protocols and leveraging job aids as needed  Own and drive improvements in the process and any areas which may benefit future tests.  Systematically retain documents that substantiate test results Establish and maintain strong relationships with Control Owners, the UKTRO, and Business Areas Highlight and investigate trends in testing result to identify improvement opportunities Review design of controls to assess whether Risk area is truly being addressed and make recommendations What we’re looking for Testing experience via either Quality Assurance, first line controls or compliance assessments An enquiring mind and a willingness to ask questions to fully understand a process or outcome Willing to develop own skills and knowledge Ability to have difficult conversations and where required challenge the “norm” Strong problem-solving skills Willing to work with the wider ODCIO team to support their goals Where and how you'll work This is a permanent position and will be based in our Nottingham offices. We’ve adopted a flexible hybrid working model - one that creates the opportunity to work in your own way, but also provides great spaces for in-person collaboration.   Our core in-the-office days are Tuesday to Thursday, but they aren't mandatory - you’ll be led by your team, the type of work you do and of course your preferences.
