Nottingham Trent House (95002), United Kingdom, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire Social Media Brand Manager About the role We’re looking for a visionary, results focused Social Media Manager to set the strategy & develop our approach to social as part of Capital One UK’s Brand Marketing team. You’ll work closely with a talented team of communications experts; as well as cross-functional teams and agencies to define and execute your vision.  Reporting to the Head of Brand, the Social Media Manager will be responsible for defining and developing the role social media can play in driving our brand forward and supporting acquisition goals. You’ll lead your agencies and internal design partners to bring the Capital One brand promise to life by setting our approach and ensuring we have a constant, compelling message across social channels. What you’ll do Develop the overall consumer social media approach for top and mid funnel advertising and organic content, linking in to the wider brand, marketing and business strategies; partnering closely with Talent Brand (recruitment) and External Affairs teams to effectively protect and promote Capital One’s brand and reputation Lead the creation of content so we have a regular stream of activity in this space - developing best in class creatives: from supporting our customers, through to  generating prospective customers for retargeting Extend reach of advertising campaigns across the estate of Capital One UK social platforms, with the objective of driving our brand perception and awareness Develop channel specific strategies, which will resonate with our target audience and customers Think creatively to extend campaigns idea beyond core advertising concepts into compelling content that will drive engagement alongside our PR and Content Manager Select, implement and maintain appropriate social media monitoring tools, to measure campaign activity as well as ensure the wider business is equipped with market sentiment in order to respond to ad-hoc events Develop & maintain social reporting dashboard, in order to report performance back to the marketing function and wider business as appropriate Lead on the Brand team relationship with platforms like Facebook - sharing plans, developing tests and analysing results Consider new channel and test opportunities for Capital One, connecting with our Enterprise partners in Capital One US and Canada as well as our roster of agencies to identify opportunities, implement and evaluate What we’re looking for Extensive subject matter expertise across social media – you’ll have an in-depth knowledge of platforms, and stay on top of the latest in social. Always striving to leverage each platform to drive maximum brand benefit Experience of working in a busy marketing team managing and creating compelling campaigns that cut through Experience working with agencies and, ideally, directly with channels like Facebook Project management skills with proven planning, organisation, and communication experience Copywriting skills; with the ability to ensure tone of voice is correct for the audience Strong relationship building and influencing skills with senior stakeholders You’ll be a motivated self-starter, who can develop a brief; get buy-in from senior stakeholders and support the project from start to finish, often working to tight deadlines Ability to work autonomously managing own time and workload efficiently We are committed to creating a level playing field and seek to create teams that are representative of our customers and the communities we serve.  We’d love to hear from you if you identify with a typically under-represented group in our industry and are particularly keen to hear from women and ethnic minority candidates. Where and how you'll work This is a permanent position based in our Nottingham office.  We’ve adopted a flexible hybrid working model - one that creates the opportunity to work in your own way, but also provides great spaces for in-person collaboration.   Our core in-the-office days are Tuesday to Thursday, but they aren't mandatory - you’ll be led by your team, the type of work you do and of course your preferences.
