Great because of you.  Software Engineers at Capital One Our Software Engineers create the solutions that define the way we work and what we do – the tech they create helps us to find the right credit for every customer. For you, it means the chance to hone your skills in everything from APIs to mobile, big data to cyber security. Basically, this is a year-long masterclass in software engineering.  What you’ll need You don’t need to be on a Computer Science degree course, but you will need to be able to code in any language. You’ll also need to be studying a degree that requires a year working in industry. But we don’t expect you to be an accomplished developer – just enthusiastic and a quick learner. Where and how you'll work This is a year long (we can be flexible in most cases) placement position based in our Nottingham office.  We’ve adopted a flexible hybrid working model - one that creates the opportunity to work in your own way, but also provides great spaces for in-person collaboration.   Our core in-the-office days are Tuesday to Thursday, but they aren't mandatory - you’ll be led by your team, the type of work you do and of course your preferences.
