What you’ll do Continue building and developing our cyber engineering team; operating in an agile, regulated and global environment to engineer cyber solutions at scale Motivate, empower and inspire a diverse group of engineers, building trusted relationships through open communication so that the team are clear on their objectives and deliver results Define and implement a department strategy in line with the UK business strategy and play a pivotal role in leading the innovation of security technologies and solutions to enable our aspirational growth plans Proactively consult with key stakeholders and collaborate across the UK business and wider global cyber organisation to establish effective, credible relationships to deliver seamless service and infrastructure services. Support the progression of continuous improvement processes, methodologies and best-practices by helping us balance trade-offs Bring your knowledge and expertise as well as staying current with industry trends and bring this context to our cyber strategy What we’re looking for You’ll have experience of leading and growing cyber engineering teams in an environment of an internal/external technology estate You’ll be passionate about mentoring and motivating your team, communicating goals and partnering across an organisation to deliver results You’ll have proven experience in deploying and maintaining critical, high-availability security systems and being able to resolve and manage issues in a complex security environment You’ll be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience across the global cyber security community and Technology teams, particularly those areas related to Cyber, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Digital Security and Network Security Engineering Where and how you'll work This is a permanent position and can be based in either our Nottingham or London offices. We're currently working fully remote until 7th September after which time we're adopting a flexible hybrid working model - one that creates the opportunity to work in your own way, but also provides great spaces for in-person collaboration.   Our core in-the-office days are Tuesday to Thursday, but they aren't mandatory - you’ll be led by your team, the type of work you do and of course your preferences.
