In this key role you will support the development and implementation of automated testing processes and tools within a software development team. Working under the guidance of more experienced testers or automation engineers to assist in tasks such as designing and writing automated test scripts, executing automated tests, and analysing test results.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Developing automation scripts using selenium for the IT quality assurance process
  • Testing programs with specific technical tools and testing methods and identifies important issues in the IT quality assurance process
  • Developing Performance scripts using tools like Jmeter
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of test strategies and test plans under the guidance of Senior QA team members
  • Participating in the creation and maintenance of test cases, test scripts and test data
  • Assisting in identifying and documenting software defects and issues, including steps to reproduce and severity assessments

What you’ll bring:

These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

  • Experience on Performance tools like Jmeter, design scripts and execution during CI/CD process
  • Experience either API, Web automation and Mobile app/web Automation
  • Knowledge on following tools: appium, Xcode, adb, experitest, BurpSuite, React Native, open shift, Rest, postman, Newman, Selenium, Grid, Maven, git, node
  • Experience of using various technologies for automaton/DevOps pipelining; this includes exposure to a range of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) technologies

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Certification in Software Automation Testing or equivalent
  • Understanding of SDLC Lifecycle
  • Understanding of Automation testing framework

What else you need to know:

This role is based in Unity Place – Milton Keynes.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
