Job Title: Snowflake Cloud and Platform Engineer

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: London

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

We are looking for a Snowflake Cloud and Platform Engineer to join the Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) Technology team on a permanent basis in London.

 

Reporting into the Cloud and Platform Technical Lead, this role is responsible for the delivery of robust infrastructure solutions to support RLAM Technology teams and deliver solutions to the RLAM business. This is principally focused on Azure cloud technology and cloud platform technologies (supporting as PaaS solutions).

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and get more involved in interpreting solution design working alongside our architecture teams to deliver best in class data driven platforms.

 

About the role

 

  • Collaborate on systems architecture and design to advise and understand infrastructure requirements.
  • Work with Technology Change teams to integrate delivery of infrastructure into solutions delivery.
  • Own the delivery of the infrastructure required to support systems implementation and change.
  • Embrace new and emerging technologies and data concepts.
  • Technical architecture and design according to RLAM strategy and objectives.
  • Some legacy on-prem capability will be required.

 

About you

 

  • Experience in Snowflake is essential, SnowPro certifications would be beneficial.
  • Azure Cloud Services – full stack knowledge.
  • Ability to work in an Infrastructure as Code environment.
  • Technical infrastructure (servers, networks, email, messaging, monitoring, alerting etc).
  • B2B and third-party integration and connectivity appreciation.
