Job Description

Role purpose

The role is responsible for creating and implementing the ServiceNow development roadmap to meet the needs of the business. You should be able to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, development teams and key business customers to ensure ServiceNow functionality aligns with the goals of the business and delivers value.

Key responsibilities

  • Understand business goals, end-user needs, and market trends to inform product strategy and prioritise features. Regularly communicate with stakeholders to align on needs and set expectations.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to develop and document user stories, create acceptance criteria, and define success metrics.
  • Participate in stand-ups, story refinements, sprint reviews, and team retrospectives, ensuring the team has clear priorities and next steps.
  • Lead sprint review meetings to present outcomes to key stakeholders and analyse feedback and operational metrics to refine product needs and strategies.
  • Work closely with the development team to scope, plan, and deliver work using established delivery methodologies and best practices.
  • Responsible for establishing product roadmaps and release plans that meet business requirements and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Responsible for proactively identifying and resolving technical, resourcing, and other blockers to ensure timely delivery of product capabilities.
  • Monitor and evaluate product performance, championing continuous improvements to enhance adoption and consumption of product features.
  • Ensure alignment with corporate, financial, and IT standards, including architecture, compliance, and security.

Requirements

Experience working in a corporate or consulting environment with

Technical

  • Good technical knowledge of the Service Now platform
  • Established knowledge of key ITIL processes
  • Good Knowledge of the development lifecycle
  • Good understanding of the Agile methodology
  • Experience working in a corporate or consulting environment
  • Educated to degree level or significant industry experience
  • Good working knowledge of MS Access, MS PowerPoint, MS Word

  • Ability to understand complex business problems, identify and interpret business needs, and comprehend business requirements.
