Digital Markets Infrastructure (DMI) is an ambitious large-scale programme to enable the use of blockchain architecture for financial infrastructure use cases. We are focused on the tokenisation, trading, and settlement of financial instruments as digital assets. This is a chance to work on an innovative, intellectually challenging project backed by the influential reach of London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). We are building a marketplace to support Fundraising, Secondaries and Fund Servicing, leveraging internal and external capabilities.
We are seeking a highly motivated and client focused Private Funds Subject Matter Expert to drive the client engagement for the project, specifically focusing on supporting the value proposition and requirements gathering. The programme is highly interdependent with continuous interaction between Client Engagement, Operations, Legal and Regulation, which means experience working on large projects in financial markets would be helpful.
Key responsibilities of the role:
• Act as the lead business analyst working directly with Private Fund customers e.g. GP, LPs and Fund Administrators to understand their pain points and refine our solution.
• Develop key customer materials e.g. design workshop decks, service descriptions, pitch decks
• Become the business and process subject matter expertise (SMEs) for Private Funds for the overall program
• Support key commercial activities e.g. tariff design, go-to-market, customer segmentation, product strategy
• Clearly articulate and refine the value proposition to customer design partners
• Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to advise product development
• Support the product market fit process by understanding and championing customer requirements through the Product organisation that directly drives technology roadmaps and functional outcomes
• Document and/or articulate requirements using an appropriate methodology, develop options to resolve ambiguity
Essential experience and skills required:
• Proven experience in GP, LP, Private Fund Advisor / Consultant, Fund Administrator, Data Provider
• Detailed knowledge of the private funds lifecycle e.g. fundraising, onboarding (e.g. KYC) execution, LPAs, secondaries, and fund servicing e.g. calls and distributions
• Experience interacting with senior strategic customers
• Proven experience developing customer facing materials e.g. service descriptions for product propositions
• Experience of business analysis methodologies, documenting as-is -> to-be mapping, process flows, prioritisation methods MoSCoW, Impact Analysis, Agile documentation of BRDs
• Have the ability to navigate, manage and develop requirements when dealing with ambiguity or uncertainty – have experience of being flexible and nimble
• Understanding of blockchain technology and the application of these in an operational business environment is desirable
• Strong intellectual ability and stakeholder management skills and ability to influence key stakeholders
• Given the nature of the subject matter, the ability to deal with ambiguity and unknown is key, to offer options and potential solutions
• Superb communication skills; able to articulate ideas to internal and external audiences across all levels of seniority and collaborate with cross functional teams
• Ability to work optimally at all levels of an organization and build positive relationships with team members, managers, and senior
