JOB TITLE: Product Owner (Governance, Risk and Resilience) 

SALARY: £73,262-£86,190 per annum  

LOCATION(S): Halifax Trinity Road or Edinburgh Sighthill North 

HOURS: Full-time – 35 hours  

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. 

 

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY 

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the newly formed Identity and Authentication Platform, in a team with the purpose of offering enterprise level Identity and Authentication services for the entire Group.  

 

The Platform needs to meet the Strong Customer Authentication regulatory commitments, enable security, innovation and to innovate within the industry. The Platform will support and grow a wide range of products to serve the Bank’s digital channels and steer on future strategies. 

 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Releasing incremental value contributing towards a holistic portfolio of products, your main goal is to release value for customers (internal and external) by ensuring that the teams are working on the right priorities and progressing towards the agreed outcomes. 

  • Operating decisively within a complex environment to deliver high quality outputs.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 

Were keeping an open mind for the recruitment of this role. However, as a minimum, you’ll be a senior leader that would need to demonstrate experience in the below skills: 

 

GOVERNANCE, RISK & RESILIENCE  

  • Influencing and delivering within the parameters of a highly regulated environment, ideally within the financial and technology sector 

  • Ensuring compliance to relative governance across our processes 

  • Working with external networks of FinTechs, Industry Bodies, Regulators and the wider Digital Transformation and Business community to source data and insights, understanding threats and opportunities. 

 

STRATEGY & PROBLEM RESOLUTION-FOCUSED APPROACH:  

  • Creating and galvanizing a team around a common vision which will be the essence of the product strategy: what are the problems it is solving, for whom, and why now is the right time to build it. 

 

INFLUENCING WITH GRAVITAS & NETWORKING  

  • Building and maintaining networks with a diverse group of leaders and colleagues to influence effectively.  

  • Creating and delivering the product roadmap and to build a team of teams environment across the bank.  

  • Working closely with leaders and executives to shape product and capabilities to be exploited to reach desired outcomes. 

 

OPTIMISING 

  • Actively and productively enabling of a thoughtful prioritisation.  

  • Evaluating and prioritising the relative importance of work, ideas and requests to eliminate wasteful practices and deliver customer value in the quickest possible way, given a variety of constraints.
