Our Cloud Security Services department is looking for a motivated individual to ensure that the appropriate security controls are in place and effective. You’ll be focusing on keeping bank services safe while simultaneously supporting programme timescales and business outcomes. You should be able to define security requirements, create designs, identify risks and define controls to mitigate the risks. These skills will help you to guide technical programmes ensuring that security is embedded in the best manner for the Bank. As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will be working across the Group’s Google and Azure cloud platforms to realise the next generation of services that form the Bank’s vision.

This role is within our Network and Perimeter Security team. Our remit includes delivering new security products and services whilst continually improving our existing ones. Our approach to Cloud is product aligned which means that this role will include tasks that related to the end to end shaping and support of our product. This can include strategy, roadmaps, build and run.

The role will have end-to-end accountabilities including:

  • Providing security leadership, guidance and consultation to diverse teams built from a mixture of LBG employee’s, contractors and 3rd party consultants

  • Working with architects and engineers to collaboratively define the high level and low level security requirements into a collection of design and engineering activities to ensure that the programme is delivering against agreed security standards and principles

  • PoCs of new products / use-cases

  • Operational documentation for support and consumption of products

  • Proactively identifying security risks

  • Owning the end-to-end security view for specific platform components and shared services

  • Becoming an SME for Products / Services in your aligned Product Team: delivering change, fulfilling run tasks and scoping then delivering enhancements to existing capabilities / processes

  • Working with the Lead Security Engineer and Product Owner to define a roadmap for Product Team owned Products + Services

  • Be ‘hands-on’ and collaborate with peers to engineer new or enhance infrastructure level capabilities
