Weatherbys Racing Bank are looking for a VAT Banking Associate to join our busy team in Wellingborough. You will be responsible for ensuring all VAT return are accurate and submitted to HMRC in line with strict deadlines.
You will join us on a full time, permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:30 and 17:30. As a VAT Associate you will provide friendly and professional customer service, assisting with a wide range of clients and their queries.

We are looking to offer a salary of up to £26,000 (depending on experience). In addition, you will receive 25 days’ annual leave (plus bank holidays). WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
- Deal with all queries relating to the VAT returns, process invoices, VAT registrations and de-registrations
- Ensure all VAT returns are accurate and submitted to HMRC by the given deadline
- Ensure adequate telephone cover is always maintained and that any queries taken are dealt with or passed on correctly and within the timescales laid down by the company policy
- Contribute to the success of the team by being willing to assist with other tasks, when necessary, as directed by Line Manager
- Suggest and participate in the development of new products and services in the Racing Bank
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- This is a customer focused role so you will need excellent communication skills and telephone manner, we put our clients at the heart of everything we do
- Flexibility and initiative, you will assist during absences and staff shortages
- Accuracy and attention to detail is paramount in this role, you will be working with large figures each day and these need to be right
- Interest in horseracing and knowledge of banking procedures would be advantageous but we will consider applications without
