Technical Delivery Manager
Salary: £68,202- £75,780
Location: Bristol
Hours: Full time
Working Pattern: At least 2 days per week in our Bristol office.
About this opportunity
The purpose of the Technical Delivery Manager is to provide effective coordination and integration of delivery of technical components that requires cross-cutting engagement across multiple Labs and or third parties. Leading their delivery team to ensure the fundamentals of Project Management excellence are achieved, this includes analysis, governance, planning managing finances and delivering value. As a TDM of the Future they should role model a desire to develop their skills and experience, create space to learn and collaborate, demonstrate resilience and adaptability, confidence. The Project Manager will understand, embrace and be able to select with confidence the most appropriate tools and methods to deliver change. They should strive to build relationships across role communities, change teams and business areas to maximise opportunities for continuous improvement through shared learnings. The Digital Devices Lab provides the Home page and Navigation functions for the group (Web and Mobile).
What you’ll do
Uses technical expertise to develop the sequence for technical integration related tasks in collaboration with the Product Owners and Engineering Leads and aligned to the Lab backlog.
Catalogues and leads technology dependencies between the lab and other teams.
Coordinates the integration process and / or implementation events across shared infrastructure (e.g. Upgrading the Mainframe); leads on the Service Introduction process, coordinating parties to deliver value for customers.
Works with stakeholders outside of the lab to ensure interlock to enable delivery at pace, including how to consume infrastructure components provided by other platforms or (within Enabling Platforms) how to make the products delivered by the Labs consumable in a self-served manner
Identifies blockers to delivery by proactively monitoring, trouble shooting and diagnosing technical issues, raising to product owner(s) / lab leadership where required.
Acts as interface between the supplier (3rd Party) and key business stakeholders supporting the management of delivery business critical programmes.
Runs complex and high-risk implementations requiring integration between multiple parties (internal/external) to ensure safe delivery.
Provides expertise (not content) for governance activities request for the safe delivery of change to customers.
Enables the delivery of technology risk and control improvements.
What we’re looking for
Prior background working as a Technical Delivery Manager / Project Manager within IT, specifically software projects.
Planning, tracking, reporting & governance activities experience -Experience Communicates regular status updates to key stakeholders and resolves high priority issues affecting delivery. Uses experience to handle critical risks/issues/dependencies arising out of Status Reporting and agile meetings, takes ownership for critical issues and ensures resolution within agreed timescales.
Desirable delivery experience includes work within Digital Transformation, Software, API or similar.
Technology Leadership - Drives teamwork within agile teams and aligns technology elements across the phases of product/development lifecycle.
Stakeholder Management experience across.
And any experience of these would be really useful
