Job Description

This role is to be a part of the SwapClear Business Management (BM) team - a key function within the SwapClear & Listed Rates COO organization. The team covers a broad spectrum of Business Line Management including:

  • Producing presentations for senior management to be used across a variety of forums, boards and client meetings
  • Analysing customer behaviour and observing trends to be able to understand and explain SwapClear's performance, and act as central point of contact for enquiries
  • Close engagement with the Finance team to ensure accuracy of SwapClear financial reporting across revenue, headcount and costs, and to forecast the future performance of the service
  • Running point on SwapClear budgeting process in partnership with Finance, forecasting growth expectations for the service over a 5yr outlook, and presenting to SwapClear leadership
  • Assisting and fulfilling data requests from senior management, including business head and COO, and multiple teams from within and external of SwapClear
  • Provide senior support to the Head of Business, COO and Commercial Director in the strategic, tactical, and day-to-day delivery of commercial objectives, including becoming a subject matter authority on SwapClear’s fee structure
  • Own and drive ad-hoc projects / analysis to identify operational improvements (e.g., key performance and leading indicators) in consultation with key partners.
  • Run regular monthly and quarterly data reports and reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis, manually generated reports, and other data driven materials for the Business Head, the COO, Risk, Product and Sales
  • Continue to drive adoption of PowerBI dashboards, and partner with the Data and Analytics team to drive improvements in reporting
  • Partner with DPG and Listed Rates as both service lines continue to grow
  • Adhoc analysis requests from a broad variety of sources

Candidate Profile / Key Skills:

  • Pro-active and willing to ask questions and self-drive own learning and understanding.
  • Swaps product knowledge, understanding the key performance indicators of performance and volume, and understanding product nuances
  • Work dynamically and able to react to contending priorities and last minute requests
  • Self-motivated with an attention to detail who enjoys problem solving
  • Has the ability to review data, pull trends and stats and relay the information to tell the story through written methods.
  • Keen to understand how the Rates market operates, and how SwapClear supports and operates within this market
  • Ability to work in a small team environment, building and maintaining a network of contacts, collaborating closely with a broad range of colleagues.

Working experience:

  • Experience in leading bank or buyside firm front office on OTC Rates derivatives
  • Strong understanding of OTC Rates products from both valuations and risk management, and the structure of the market between Buy and Sell side firms
  • Knowledge of post trade services such as compression and margin optimisation is desired
  • Knowledge of IBOR transition to RFR also a preference
  • Proven go to market launch and product/service marketing experience

IT skills: Proficient MS Office suite (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Workflow and Visualisation tools (Visio, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and a technical disciple of VBA, Python, R
