About this opportunity…
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Lead Analytics Manager to deliver influential insight and advice through leading a team of analytical and research professionals. This exciting new role is to set-up and lead the BI&A Chapter team for the Resolving Economic Crime lab which aims to build the capability for effective, empathetic and efficient Economic Crime interactions across the Group. Key focus areas are building mobile first customer journeys, increasing automation and AI enabled colleague tools.
In the Economic Crime Prevention (ECP) Platform, our mission is to reduce harm to our communities by enhancing the Group's capability to prevent, detect and respond to economic crime. The Platform sits within Consumer Relationships and plays a critical role in providing services across the whole Group.
About us…
Like the modern Britain we serve, we’re evolving. Investing billions in our people, data and tech to transform the way we meet the ever-changing needs of our 26 million customers. We’re growing with purpose. Join us on our journey and you will too…
Here’s how you’ll make a difference…
You will be leading a team of Business Insights and Analytics colleagues in the Economic Crime Prevention Platform to support the fight against Fraud and Financial crime.
Focussing on the area of resolving economic crime, you will define the data strategy and support your colleagues to deliver this through a portfolio of initiatives and by providing data led insight to enduring product teams.
You'll identify and evaluate complex expertise-led solutions against a range of criteria to find the ones that best meet business needs.
You’ll be responsible for leading analytics to drive improvements across the resolving economic crime arena by identifying any opportunities to obtain additional data and by evaluating the benefits of any changes.
You’ll identify innovative solutions to support the monitoring of our economic crime resolution controls, through reporting, dashboards and automation, and use these to help define strategic improvements in loss prevention and customer experience.
You'll work with stakeholders across the group to identify requirements and opportunities to enhance our economic crime resolution processes and controls that help Britain, rather than fraudsters, prosper.
What we need from you…
We believe that people don't always fit neatly into roles, and we value everyone's individual skills, experience, and knowledge — it's what makes you unique!
Proven track record of producing data driven insight across a complex landscape that leads to realisation of benefits and improvements for our customers and our business.
Strong leadership skills, using empathy, clarity and challenge to support your team to be their best.
Exposure to Google Cloud Platform
Excellent analytical, visualisation, and interpretative skills.
Experience of SQL, BigQuery or Python in real world business application.
Experience with applying Data Analytics techniques within a commercial/industrial context.
A growth mindset and a willingness to learn new skills.
It would be great if you also had…
Experience of using Tableau or PowerBI to present data
Knowledge of economic crime processes and controls
Clear and effective communication to convey complex data insights to diverse audiences
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues across the business

Returner opportunities
Returning to work after time away can be challenging. That’s why we offer Returner opportunities that are designed to assist people returning to work after a career break of 18 months or more and our roles are permanent from the day one. Whether you’ve been away from work due to parenthood, illness, or even travel, we’re looking forward to hearing from you as we continue to grow!
What can you expect?
Coming back into the world of work after a career break can be really daunting – and we therefore know how important flexibility is. We’re very aware that ‘normal’ office hours aren’t always doable, so will happily have the discussion about different working patterns with you.
These roles have been created with your career break in mind, making sure we are there to support you in your transition back to work. You will be brought in on a permanent contract and given meaningful work from day one. Plus, you’ll be paired with a buddy or mentor from your team to help guide you along the way. You’ll also benefit from being part of the wider Returners Community and have the chance to create a personal development plan that works for you.
Who are we looking for?
While banking or professional services experience is desirable, especially for some roles, we care more about the transferable skills you can bring to our business.
Testimonials
I had a good network of colleagues already working for Lloyds Banking Group, who were all very passionate about their roles - so it felt the right choice for me and gave me the courage to apply for a Business Analyst role through the Returners. It was a seamless recruitment experience and I was offered a role in the work I wanted to do.
