Our award-winning Technology Graduate Programme provides the ideal springboard for an exciting and meaningful career in global financial markets technology.
The Engineering team is responsible for operating and securing all the Group’s products, platforms, infrastructure and technology services. We cover the full spectrum across high-speed trading platforms, data distribution platforms, clearing and settlement systems for our customers as well as internal business systems and the tools our employees use each day.
We have opportunities for graduates to join Data and Analytics Engineering Function in our Nottingham office.
We offer a wide range of Software Development and Dev Ops roles which will allow you to explore one of the following technologies:

Roles can vary from development and programming to testing and analytics, we seek to match your skills and background to the projects available.
To be eligible you must be a graduate studying a Technology, Engineering or Mathematics subject area, who has completed your studies in 2024 or a final year undergraduate or Master’s student and have completed all the requirements of your qualification before September 2025.

What we are looking for:
We are passionate about recruiting people who have a genuine curiosity about Technology and strive to pursue a Technology career path, as evidenced by a combination of their studies, extracurriculars or work experience. It’s important to us that you can also understand the breadth of our organisation, how it functions and the vital role that technology plays in supporting LSEG and our clients.
You will have an interest in technology demonstrated either via your time at university. For instance, you may have secured an internship in a technology role or focused on various technologies as part of a university projects. You may have learnt how to code or how to use a particular technology.
A curiosity for data and an ability to analyse information to draw conclusions and propose solutions.
You should have a demonstrable interest in financial markets, which you’ve built through your studies, work experience or extracurricular activities.
Individuals who are able to connect the dots and think strategically.
The environment we work in is fast paced, you’ll need to demonstrate focus, resilience and the flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
People who can collaborate with others, using their strong communication skills in the process.
Some understanding of data analysis tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) will be of interest for some teams in D&A Engineering
Ideal candidates will have the rights to work in the UK without restrictions for the duration of the graduate programme and joins us on a permanent basis.

Recruitment Process:
The first stage of the recruitment process involves making an application and submitting your resume.
The next stage of the application process is an untimed Immersive Online Assessment. The assessment is designed to give you an insight into what it’s like to work at LSEG
The second stage is a video interview where you will answer a series of questions using a strength-based-interview style
The final stage is a half day assessment centre which involves several different types of exercises – further information is provided at the point of invite.

Returner Programme
As part of our Global Parental Leave offering, from 1st July 2024 all parents returning from any type of family leave (Global Parental Leave, UK Maternity, Paternity, Adoption or Shared Parental Leave) are eligible to an eight-week phased return to work, working 80% of normal hours at full pay. Additionally, LSEG is introducing enhanced leave to support families whose children require neonatal care.

Our summer internship programme, for penultimate year students, is a unique opportunity to get to know LSEG’s business and to gain an in-depth insight into financial markets.

Our Technology Internship will enable you to launch your career in Engineering. Your technical placement will involve coding, development, and innovation. You’ll have a meaningful role in harnessing new, exciting technologies and working on projects aimed at integrating them into our frontline operations.
Our Business Internship programme will allow you to gain valuable experience within one of our Business Divisions, whilst gaining broader exposure to the wider Group. You’ll gain valuable experience in one of our Divisions (Capital Markets and Post Trade).
