Salary - National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £41,800 to £52,200 and London £46,000 to £57,400 per annum (Salary offered will be based on skills and experience)

The International Division leads our strategy for international engagement, working collaboratively across the FCA to ensure the organisation delivers on its international priorities.
You will help to lead and shape the way we think about our approach to cryptoasset regulation, and what the future of financial services looks like both in the UK and globally, for years to come. You will work with a wide range of colleagues across the FCA, as well as external domestic and international stakeholders.
We are looking for a talented individual who can contribute to complex, high-profile and fast-moving portfolios. Good organisational, analysis, stakeholder management, and communication skills are essential.
What will you be doing?
Responsible for supporting the FCA’s international strategy on cryptoasset policy issues
Coordinating and assisting relevant teams within the FCA to maintain and influence key international relationships with counterparts from global standard setting bodies, and other overseas regulators
Developing and delivering creative strategy and engagement plans on priority topics, working closely with colleagues across the FCA to ensure a coordinated and considered approach
Analysing and providing advice to senior colleagues in the FCA
Engaging with industry stakeholders and conducting horizon scanning

Minimum
Prior experience and understanding of the international financial regulatory agenda gained through practical experience / experience working on financial services policy issues
Prior experience of advising and influencing internal and external stakeholders
Prior analytical experience, experience of evaluating complex information at pace, making sound judgements supported by evidence
Essential
Experience of policy development within financial services, government, or cryptoassets sector
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain complex issues succinctly and compellingly, adapted to the audience (some which are non-native speakers)
Evidence of problem solving and organisational skills with the ability to manage a variety of different priorities and issues
Clear understanding of the FCA’s functions and objectives within the UK financial regulatory framework and our Secondary Competitiveness Objective
Ability to identify and support stakeholders, build rapport and develop outcomes focused relationships
Inclusive and collaborative working method, with ability to draw on range of expertise across the wider organisation to deliver
A strong team player who demonstrates an inclusive approach and the impact and influence to deliver against their own objectives, and to the wider organisational outcomes
