JOB TITLE: Senior Manager, Market Data (CIB)

SALARY: £80,000 - £120,000 (Dependent on location & experience)

LOCATIONS: Birmingham / Bristol / London / Cardiff / Edinburgh / Glasgow

HOURS: Full-Time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

Market Data is a broad term used in reference to financial information necessary for analysing, trading and accounting. We source this from external providers.

Our Market Data team in the CIB Chief Operating Office plays a critical role in the execution of our strategy. We're responsible for the strategic management, provision and administration of Market data. The team looks to optimise relationships with the likes of London Stock Exchange Group and Bloomberg, identify new opportunities, capabilities and data to support our strategy and manages a large annual budget.

The team is the centre of excellence for managing Market Data across Lloyds Banking Group ranging from:

  • Administrative tasks to ensure colleagues have the correct licensing in place to payment of market data provider invoices.

  • To supporting all the business areas across group with their market data requirement by providing expert advice that will be best suited to their needs and will drive the most value to the business

We have an amazing opportunity for you to lead this team of incredible Market Data specialists. Your role will be leading the Market Data team to complete a diverse set of business objectives requiring people leadership, problem solving and analytical capabilities.

What will you be doing?

  • You'll engage with senior leaders and support influencing on strategic decisions, as well as collaborating closely with our external market data vendors directly. Reporting into the Service Delivery Director, you'll work closely together to shape the outputs of the team and will deputise for them when required.

  • Take responsibility for developing and delivering a key element of the organisation's end to end management of market data

  • Lead and deliver required outcomes for a portfolio of projects, while reporting to senior colleagues

  • Identify and evaluate complex solutions against a variety of criteria to find the ones that best meet business needs

  • Lead and develop existing business relationships and engage with business leaders to understand long-term strategic challenges

  • Implement a sustainable, cost-effective target operating model to support business needs, adapting as the business model evolves

  • Maintain great relationships with key internal customers and act as their business partner

  • Demonstrate continual awareness of industry and regulatory developments relevant to market data and the wider market applying your knowledge of the external environment, including regulatory landscape

What You'll Need
Key to this role is your relevant experience of Market Data and demonstrable evidence of the following key skills:

  • Leadership: Highly motivated and driven to achieve individual and collective goals, with a keen focus on coaching and creating an inclusive working culture that ensures everyone can be themselves in a safe environment

  • Analytical: Is a critical thinker and has a passion for problem solving, driving improvements, simplicity and automation

  • Communication: Have fantastic interpersonal skills and able to effectively communicate ideas, issues and implications through storytelling and can distil and simplify complex messages into clear, concise communications that colleagues and senior leaders can understand

  • Influence: Diplomacy and credibility in front of senior audiences with the ability to influence the right outcomes, providing healthy challenge where appropriate

  • Risk Management: An understanding of the Group’s risk strategy and frameworks with an ability to identify, articulate and handle risks associated with third parties (e.g. cyber, data and operational resilience).
