Full Time Executive Finance Marketing

Job Description

This role will report into the SwapClear & Listed Rates Product function, the role will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation of defined products and/or services into the business line. This would also include development of commercial structures.

The role will lead all aspects of definition and planning through production, release, and end of lifecycle, with end-to-end responsibility for new or legacy propositions, products and services

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Holds responsibility for the end-to-end management of strategically important products and/or services or a portfolio of products / services within a technical area of expertise, facilitating alignment with LSEGs product strategy. Oversees all aspects of definition and planning through production, release, and end of lifecycle, with end-to-end responsibility on feature/function specifications for highly visible and key propositions, products and services.

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • Owns product strategy, design, business requirements, feature and functionality trade-offs for one or more strategic initiatives and/or proposition, product, or service, championing relevant lean, agile and ways of working methodologies
  • Implements and helps define the vision and devising business plans for budgetary approval, commercial structure and product roadmaps, communicating the vision to their teams, senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Acts as the product lead on project delivery teams, providing senior leadership and direction on scope, approach and go-to-market tactics.
  • Develops and aligns product messaging to key strategic goals and direction that is set at the platform, company, and group levels.
  • Works with senior product, marketing and sales colleagues to ensure realisation of product business cases and to review product performance and revise products / services / sales approaches as needed
  • Identifies, validates and undertakes commercial negotiations with 3rd party vendors and develop partnership agreements where required.
  • Maintains oversight of a major product or service, or a set of products within a business line, overseeing all initiatives, product related spend and product performance within own remit, setting OKRs and KPIs and championing their outcomes. Leads a Product Management team/s, developing, - mentoring and coaching colleagues to enhance the overall capability in the business and fostering the talent within the function
  • Obtains, organizes and filters client feedback and acts as a key client contact for product specific matters and commercial needs.
  • Works beyond own product line and/or Business Unit by developing knowledge and contributing into the broader platform and operational improvements, identifying opportunities for proposition, products, or services.
  • Establishes a high performing culture emphasizing innovation, growth, and development across all direct product contributing functions including Engineering, Design, Research, QA.

Essential experience and skills required:

  • Degree or equivalent in a Finance, Economics or Engineering related field preferred
  • End-to-end product delivery across full implementation cycle
  • Excellent organizational, and commercial acumen skills including scenario modelling
  • Experience in the roll out of commercial fee plans, supporting justification and modelling
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Excellent at managing and influencing a wide network of stakeholders, including senior management
  • Willing and able to challenge customers and stakeholders to delivery on objectives
  • Ability to operate effectively with other functions and external teams and is seen as a partner in the overall function

Essential Competencies:

  • Global experience – working successfully with teams in multiple locations simultaneously
  • Background in working across several different sectors both business and IT related projects/programmes
  • Has worked in a similar role in a clearing house, investment bank, buyside firm (product development expertise at a market infrastructure provider or analytics vendor would also be considered)
  • Strong product knowledge covering risk characteristics and operational workflow of OTC rates or listed derivatives
  • Can demonstrate experience of problem solving in a similar working environment
