Reporting directly into the Head of SES business risk, you will work in close partnership with second line functions such as legal, compliance, market risk, credit risk and finance to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure of the book and coordinate with regional counterparts (NAM, EMEA, APAC) across SES structuring and trading teams on all transactions, ensuring consistency in approach.

Assess risks across both non-recourse and recourse structures.
Provide independent credit recommendations to SES management on the issuer’s business model, as well as the risks/considerations of the industry and region in which the issuer operates.
Connect credit risk factors to market risk or other risk attributes of the collateral and be able to provide a holistic view on the risk in a transaction, including an understanding of the key transaction terms and structural mitigants which give us comfort with any material risks.
Manage the deal approval process from initial credit review and diligence, risk discussions, exposure booking and monitoring.
Conduct annual portfolio reviews for the Global Margin Loan book.
Assist across the broader business with certain risk governance initiatives including developing and maintaining risk frameworks for new and existing products and improving current processes.
Support Internal Audit and Fundamental Credit Risk reviews.
Work closely with the Equities Financial Resource Management teams and provide support for reviews of regulatory capital or other related requests.
Support the build-out of governance frameworks for new products (designing approval processes, materials for the New Activity Committee, writing product programs, etc.)
What we will need from you:
Experience conducting issuer (i.e., collateral) credit analyses to provide recommendations for new and existing equity margin financings, as well as other credit or structured products / derivatives.
An individual who can appropriately assess risk/reward of new and existing transactions when making business decisions and manage risk-related processes (e.g., annual reviews, ratings, group policies/guidelines, audit reviews, etc.) in the first line of defence, acting as a true partner to the second and third line functions.
Flexible individual able to assist management with special ad hoc projects including business and portfolio updates as well as regulatory deliverables.
If you are not already certified, you will need to obtain and maintain all applicable registrations/licenses which are required for the role, within the appropriate timeframe.
What we will provide you:
This role will appeal to the intellectually curious, analytical, and conceptual thinker who proactively seeks and aims to develop new opportunities. "We consistently assess Citi’s role in response to three questions: What are we doing to help create inclusive and resilient communities? How can we use our voice to help drive dialogue toward solutions? Is Citi walking the talk — are we doing the right things within our own firm? The short answer to all three of these questions continues to be the same: that we can and should do more."
