ROLE OVERVIEW

 The Social Mobility Co-Lead at Women in Banking and Finance (WIBF) is responsible for the overall engagement and strategy of our social mobility pillar. Ensuring that all corporate members are aware of the social mobility programmes that WIBF offers and driving up the engagement across all the WIBF regions. You will be passionate about supporting our social mobility offerings to our corporate members and also looking at broadening out the offerings that we already have in place. You will look after a portfolio of our corporate members who are interested in partnering with WIBF on the social mobility programmes. You will also engage with and drive the partnership with EY Foundation and the Chartered Banker Institute and any other future social mobility partners. This dynamic role requires strong organisational skills, time management, attention to detail and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently to respond to queries from both external members and volunteers across the business.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Enhance and manage the overall social mobility strategy for our corporate members.

·        Research and recommend other social mobility partners for WIBF to work with.

·        Create an engagement plan of action with the social mobility partners on an annual basis.

·        Communicate and promote the various social mobility offerings / programmes to the WIBF corporate members.

·        Drive engagement between WIBF corporate members and social mobility partners.

·        Execute various webinars and events, to showcase the social mobility offerings and to create deeper engagement with corporate members.

·        Create and send out an annual social mobility survey to the WIBF corporate members.

·        Strong collaboration with each of the WIBF regions to understand their social mobility needs and create a plan for implementation.

·        Engage and work alongside the Student Engagement Strategy team of volunteers.

 

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

·        Experience of creating and leading strategies to deliver a common goal.

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·        Passion for promoting social mobility, gender equality and inclusivity and identify key challenges faced across the financial ecosystem.

·        Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when needed.

·        Organisational and time management skills.

·        An innovative and creative mindset that can support in developing a targeted and engaging 

programme for WIBF members.

·        Proven ability to establish and nurture meaningful connections among individuals, teams, and

 resources to foster collaboration and synergies internal and external to WIBF.

·        Adept at identifying opportunities for cross-functional partnerships and networking, contributing to a well-connected and cohesive community.
