The Change Team within Border to Coast is responsible for providing the professional change framework and technical discipline to support the wider organisation in planning, initiating, monitoring, and delivering strategic change initiatives within the firm. Our change professionals are required to manage within risk appetite and budgetary constraints as approved by the Board and Executive through the Strategic Planning Process.

We have ambition plans for our customers, and we are looking for experience change management professionals to join our change team to deliver those plans.

The role – what you’ll be doing

As a Project Manager your role is hugely important and will be required to:

  • Provide strong project management to a range of key strategic projects within the business, ensuring all stakeholders are supported and key milestones delivered.
  • Work within the Border to Coast project management methodology, ensuring agreed project governance is in place and delivered – from initiation to project closure.
  • Create, maintain and track plans, ensuring all project participants are clear on roles, responsibilities, scope and timescales.
  • Work with the Border to Coast PMO to ensure timely reporting and assurance are delivered across the various change programme.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and delivery of agreed milestones within projects.
  • Co-ordination and planning of key project resource within the agreed project scope.
  • Identify and manage project delivery risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring key stakeholders are informed and accountable.
  • Co-ordinate project briefings to ensure team members are effectively informed of their responsibilities.

About you - and the value you’ll bring to our team

  • A track record of successful delivery of key strategic projects within complex organisations
  • Experience within financial services industry is preferred
  • Wide Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • You should be a self-starter, tenacious and delivery focused. With the ability to work autonomously but also the talent to co-ordinate a project team to tight timescales

Border to Coast is the largest LGPS (Local Government Pension Scheme) pool in the UK. It is owned by 11 Local Government Pension Schemes (‘Partner Funds’). The Partner Funds represent 3,100 employers and over a million members.

The Partner Funds are Bedfordshire, Cumbria, Durham, East Riding, Lincolnshire, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, Surrey, Teesside, Tyne and Wear and Warwickshire.
