Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and technological lead, to take on the role of TPM FX Regulatory Reporting Solutions. This is a lead position in the Capital Markets Shared Technology team. The Regulatory Reporting Solution Manager will be responsible for providing a first-class enterprise reporting capabilities to meet the our extensive reporting obligations for FX Venues to various regulatory bodies (e.g. FCA, ESMA, CBI, MAS, BOJ, HKMA, etc.)

Capital Markets Regulatory Reporting Solutions is part of the Capital Markets Data and Analytics team which comprises of Business Intelligence Products (BI), Capital Markets Data Factory (CMDF), Application Development (App Dev), Business Analysts (BA), Quality Assurance (QA), DevOps, Architects and Project Management. The team works as a collective to design and build strategic data solutions for Capital Markets business.

We are looking for an experienced technical expert to work with a team of skilled software engineers working on the modernization of our regulatory reporting capabilities to improve effectiveness of our regulatory obligations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead and develop our FX Regulatory Reporting platform capabilities used by internal business and external members based on our innovative Capital Markets Data Factory.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Regulatory Reporting field with the ability to refine or redesign existing processes, and the development of best-in-class enterprise grade solutions to deliver improvements in efficiency, time to market, information security, and decision quality.
  • Be on top of regulatory changes in the MIFID II space – including various RTS reports required by FCA/ESMA.
  • Play a key part in the development of the vision and strategy for regulatory reporting to strengthen LSEG Capital Markets compliance and regulatory delivery.
  • Oversee the implementation of our regulatory obligations with the focus on quality, resilience and operational efficiency of our reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams of skilled engineers; lead, inspire, attract and develop, mentor and get individuals to bring their best to work every day.
  • Grow a dedicated engineering team to serve the growing business demands and establish affecting interaction with other Capital Markets technology disciplines.

You'll bring:

  • Strong understanding of financial regulations (i.e. MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, BMR etc.) and experience in delivering regulatory solutions.
  • Skilled Technical Lead with at least 3+ years’ experience in leading software engineering teams.
  • Hands on experience with technologies such as Oracle, MSSQL, MongoDb, Sybase, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, HBase, Python, Jupyter, Tableau, Business Objects, APIs, REST-based web services, Atlassian Jira, and additional tools from external vendors. Experience with Snowflake is a plus.
  • Experience working with DevOps and on AWS is desirable.
  • Strong and proven experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDMS) with advanced working knowledge of SQL.
  • Strong data background with dimensional / Kimball data modelling experience to work with the Data Warehouse team to design and implement performant, flexible and scalable data models.
  • Knowledge of Financial Services, Capital Markets (preferably Foreign Exchange) and / or Electronic Trading.
  • 2+ years Python scripting will be helpful.
  • Solid understanding and awareness of project lifecycle, and experience delivering large scale agile transformation.
  • Working effectively in a constantly changing environment.
