Engineering Metrics Business Manager

We’re looking for an Engineering Metrics Business Manager to help us measure and improve software engineering performance! In this role, you’ll track key engineering productivity metrics, analyse trends, and provide insights that help teams build and deliver high-quality software faster.

What You’ll Do

  • We track and refine engineering productivity metrics, including DORA metrics (Deployment Frequency, Lead Time for Changes, Change Failure Rate, and Time to Restore Service).

  • We use JIRA, Confluence, and reporting tools to analyse software delivery performance.

  • We identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions to help teams work more efficiently.

  • We build clear, insightful dashboards and reports that inform leadership decisions.

  • We partner with engineering and product teams to ensure metrics reflect real performance.

  • We advocate for best practices in software development measurement and continuous improvement.

  • We support teams in adopting new measurement frameworks smoothly and effectively.

What You Bring

  • 5–7 years of experience in DevOps, Engineering Productivity, or Agile Metrics.

  • Strong skills in JIRA, Confluence, and Agile methodologies.

  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualisation.

  • Ability to turn complex data into clear, compelling insights.

  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and how engineering teams work.

  • Self-starter who proactively identifies and solves problems.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools.

  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, or scripting for data analysis.

  • Background in value stream mapping or engineering effectiveness initiatives.

  • Familiarity with Blue Optima for software engineering metrics.
