The successful candidate will be part of a post trade business Product Development team focused on FX Prime Brokerage (FXPB). You will own the product roadmap and be responsible for providing strategic direction and business input on platform initiatives, focusing on deliverables that drive business growth and serve client interests while adhering to internal and regulatory policies.
The individual, as part of the Product development team, will act as the key link between Client facings teams, Product Managers, Operations, Technology and Control functions.
What you will do will be varied day to day, but the key drivers for the role are:
Drive product development in key strategic business focus areas such as connectivity to new clearinghouses, rollout of new products, client tools, margin and treasury workflows, and market structure changes.
Define problem statements and prepare detailed concept definitions with input from Citi SMEs, deliver/review business requirements for Product Development, ensuring that a structured approach to market analysis is adopted, commercial judgement exercised, and requirements are agreed by all key stakeholders.
Assess new enhancement requests and prioritize according to Criticality, Effort and Resourcing levels. Oversee testing, release, and support process.
Generate product awareness among users, working closely with client facing Sales and Client Executive teams.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Managing business P&L globally and regionally. This entails reviewing large P&L movements daily, as well as reconciling final month-end P&L
Help manage business performance via revenue tracking, and management of the capital footprint and uncleared margin requirements for the business.
Liaise and manage relationships with key third party providers along with contract negotiations
Continue to evolve and review the interaction between products within the Prime Services suite and how they can interact with FXPB to enhance client experience and reduce operational risk.
The successful candidate will challenge operational inefficiencies, drive continuous process improvement and champion new ways of working to improve productivity and client service metrics, whilst also understanding client needs, service pain-points and collect client feedback on planned new product features.
What we will need from you:
A technical and operational understanding with sufficient knowledge to steer platform design and deliverables
Extensive understanding of trade booking and post trade workflows
Strong understanding of the modelling of Risk Weighted Assets, Uncleared Margin Rules and GSIB and mitigation tools to help manage returns against these metrics
Familiarity with global regulatory regimes and regulatory requirements with experience implementing systems, processes to support the regulatory framework, particularly focusing on Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) rules and regulatory reporting
Highly skilled in excel with the ability to automate processing of large data sets, clean and normalize data, join multiple data sets, apply complex rules to generate meaningful business insights. Experience in Python would be beneficial
Must have a strong risk understanding and be able to apply to the business across credit, operational and regulatory risks as the key concerns
This role will appeal to the intellectually curious and analytical who are comfortable working with multiple, complex, and incomplete data set using data to craft compelling narratives. You should be able to plan and organize own workload within tight deadlines and be able to work under pressure always displaying initiative, donning multiple hats as needed for a deliverable, and demonstrate a desire to contribute to discussions around process improvement and system enhancements.
