Team/Role Overview
With the transition of MAC (Master Agreement Central) ownership to Markets, an opportunity has risen to be part of a global support team within the business. The Markets Senior Business Analyst is a developing professional role, and the successful candidate will work from Belfast as part of global team managed centrally in EMEA. The successful candidate will work closely with the team manager and be consulted on about team strategy and work load management.
In the main, the role will be aimed at helping support large volumes of daily communications pertaining to the applicability of data within MAC (Master Agreement Central), audits, projects and other variables. The successful candidate will be central to meeting project deadlines and deliverables and will have a degree of project ownership and responsibility - displaying leadership qualities and the ability to work autonomously dealing with high volumes of requests.
The role will include extensive involvement with audit requirements related to MAC and independent work involving information gathering and the preparation of analysis to be presented, explained and relayed to both internal and external audit stakeholders. The successful candidate will display a high level of business acumen and commercial awareness to aid in the task of ranking priorities on a daily basis to ensure the sustainability of our core systems and stakeholder relationships. MAC is a centralized web-based repository application that contains data that is relied upon downstream in many other Citi systems, applications and domains.
The accuracy of that data is downstream is of paramount importance and the role will be core in the sustainability of that data and in helping assist key stakeholders with basic analysis of contractual documentation that is stored in MAC and translated onto the system where issues have been identified. The candidate must therefore apply a degree of specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data.

Whilst the role will be based in Belfast it will comprise part of one centralized and collaborative team on a global scale to help manage and streamline MAC related process management. There will be regional cross over and scope to co-operate on the management of MAC within other locations that were previously siloed. The conjoined approach will help broaden the successful candidate’s knowledge and experience of MAC on an international basis. In summary the role will allow for monitoring in data or results, define business issues and formulate recommendations on policies, procedures or practices. There is opportunity to establish disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area and develop a good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. The role allows application of working knowledge of industry practices and standards.
