Salary: A competitive salary from £69,760 - £104,640 depending on the experience you can bring

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified actuary to join our Prudential Risk Team within the UK Risk function. Reporting to the Prudential Risk Director, you will play a vital role ensuring that Aegon UK manages its Prudential Risks in a manner consistent with the identified and agreed risk appetite.
You will lead the oversight and challenge of specific capital, liquidity and investment risk management proposals, independent validation of assumptions and models and drive robust monitoring and reporting of risks to allow the business to grow profitably.
Key Responsibilities include:
Supporting the Validation Framework, leading deep dive reviews into models and reporting findings to the Model Validation Committee
Leading risk oversight reviews of Solvency II results, capital management, asset management and investment activity, with-profits and pricing as agreed in detailed goals
Taking a leading role in other ad-hoc and less regular Prudential Risk work, examples include Risk Appetites, Medium Term Plan, ORSA and ICARA.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Relevant professional experience and a qualified actuary (IFoA or equivalent)
Strong analytical skills with an ability to communicate complex concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing to a wide range of audiences
Sound judgement and pro-activity to operate independently, act on own initiative, plan and prioritise work to achieve deliverables.
Ability to objectively analyse and interpret a wide range of information and appropriately challenge assumptions and proposals
Knowledge of financial markets and the PRA and FCA regulations
