LOCATION(S): Bristol
HOURS: Full-time – 35 hours per week

This role is in Transaction Classification Services lab, where we’re on a mission to provide a world class transaction data enrichment capability to power commercialisation. We're delivering one of the UKs richest transaction datasets, revolutionising financial insights and market intelligence for LBG and our customers. It's a critical role to us, as you'll drive the evolution of data analytics solutions and AI capabilities, by developing and delivering solutions that are aligned with our group technical strategy and help achieve our lab’s goals and priorities.
In this role, you’ll:
Be responsible for creating the solution architecture, evolution roadmaps and managing delivery of solutions to address our business needs, ensuring it meets all the standards and policies of LBG.
You'll support the delivery of solutions as per specifications and requirements, manage architecture debts and evolution roadmaps.
Get the opportunity to work with modern tech, data stacks, and cloud-based architectures, managing both the foundational data solutions alongside the adoption of advanced AI and ML capabilities.
You’ll support delivery leads and engineers to define the scope and low-level designs of solutions and drive delivery of new features in an agile manner, helping them identify and coordinate dependencies between activities.
You'll analyse systems designs and operational performance to continually drive for improvement and optimisation.
You'll be collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Enterprise Architects and Engineers to ensure the solutions are fit for purpose but also optimised for efficiency and to our standards.
About you:
Experience of Agile Delivery: Significant experience in delivering technical solutions in an Agile environment.
Proven experience as a Solution Architect: Deep technical expertise in delivering various solution architectures and designs including data platforms and complex data pipelines preferably on public cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Robust understanding of application design concepts: Experience of designing scalable low latency solutions to meet different functional and non-functional requirements to and support scalability, availability and performance needs.
Proven experience in Data Architecture: Experience of designing and delivering complex batch and streaming data pipelines across on-prem and cloud. Understanding of orchestration, data processing (streaming, batch, ETL/ELT etc), and database capabilities (e.g. relational, No-SQL).
Problem solving: Ability to think strategically and creatively to address complex challenges and provide innovative, scalable, robust solutions.
Collaboration and communication: Able to influence others with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Growth mindset: Able to learn and use new skills & knowledge in varying circumstances and are comfortable providing recommendations and thought leadership using your own judgment.
CI/CD: Detailed understanding of automated CI/CD pipelines and experience of working with tools such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, Harness etc.
Desirables:
Industry Standard: TOGAF or equivalent, GCP Data Engineer/ Cloud Architect certifications or equivalent
Good appreciation of cyber, data security and data privacy, the architectural implications on application design.
Modern progressive data capabilities – e.g., data lake/ data mesh architecture, machine learning, AI, ML-Ops etc.
Knowledge of QA best practices, good understanding of data quality concepts.
