ROLE OVERVIEW
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join WIBF’s Student Engagement Strategy Working Group.

The Student Engagement Strategy (SES) aims to provide undergraduate students with the support, guidance and community needed to enter and progress a career in the financial services industry.

The SES Co-Heads are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to lead, run and launch a WIBF SES Instagram account. This role welcomes applications from both existing financial services professionals (future leaders) and undergraduate students looking for relevant voluntary experience.

The role will be accountable to the Co-Heads of the SES, who in turn are accountable to the Future Leaders Shadow Board (FLSB), who will provide end-to-end support, running and maintenance of the Instagram account. There is also a dotted reporting line to the WIBF Management Board members responsible for Marketing and Communications given that this role will produce content that impacts the broader WIBF brand. They will coordinate on a day-to-day basis with the operations team, in particular with its Digital/Content Manager.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
●    Work with the SES Co-heads to set and report on KPIs
●    Create a rolling content plan that requires approval prior to or in the course of posting. The plan must consider and align with overarching WIBF campaigns (e.g. awards, volunteers week, etc.)
●    Plan and execute schedules of creative content, posting consistently (1-2 times per week). Content must follow WIBF’s tone of voice
●    Work with existing and develop WIBF social media templates, using Canva to ensure posts adhere to WIBF brand guidelines
●    Increase WIBF’s social media profile through engaging and creative content, specifically aimed at student members with consideration for existing financial services professionals/future leaders
●    Support the growth of student membership numbers while keeping existing future leader members engaged
●    Look to support or strengthen relationships with external parties e.g. WIBF corporate partners and other relevant external organisations, working with other WIBF employees and volunteers
●    Manage, monitor and respond to inbound messages and follower interaction and engagement, leveraging support from WIBF employees and volunteers given possible implications for the WIBF brand
●    Provide support for content linked to other FLSB and Future Leaders Network activities and projects
●    Review influencer and competitor feeds to ensure the channel meets the platform’s evolving capabilities
●    Collaborate and maintain close working relationships with SES Working Group, Future Leaders Shadow Board members and fellow WIBF employees and volunteers as appropriate.

KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES 
●    Organisation and planning, using initiative to effectively create and plan schedules of content
●    Ability to produce creative and engaging social media content, with prior knowledge of Canva an advantage
●    Keen eye for visual design and social media trends to boost engagement
●    Strong written and verbal communication skills
●    Ability to produce a variety of content such as posts, stories, vlogs, blogs and reels as appropriate and how these support other communications channels.
●    Initiative to tweak content, strategy and approach based on follower engagement/ performance/feedback
●    Attention to detail.

TERM / PARTICIPATION 
There is an expectation on working group members to meet in accordance with SES Co Heads’ requirements. This is a voluntary role and service on the working group is without remuneration except for administrative support, travel and accommodation costs in relation to FLSB member dues (refer to expenses policy for further guidelines). This role is a 2-year commitment. There is no set number of hours that an SES Working Group member will contribute to WIBF, there is, however, an expectation that individual members will commit sufficient time (at least 4 hours per week) to ensure they meet any commitments they have agreed to as part of their agreed role.
