What will you be doing?
In the Knowledge Information & Insight (KI&I) function in our Data, Technology and Innovation division, our mission is to transform information, knowledge, and records management, so that these assets are managed robustly across the life cycle. Our vision is to drive compliance, positive behaviours, and a culture of curiosity and collaboration. We are integral to joining up the FCA’s valuable information and knowledge in a way that is compliant with our legal and regulatory obligations.
This is a 6-8 month fixed term contract opportunity to lead the FCA’s Records Management strategy. You can expect to:
Collaborate closely with the the FCA’s Information Management Policy and leadership and strategy team, supported by two dedicated Senior Associates
Use your expertise and experience in records management to advise on Information Management policy, assurance, and best practice
Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation, to steer the execution of activities associated with the FCA’s multifaceted Information Management Program
Provide leadership of the Secretariat function of the FCA’s Information Management Information Governance Board

Which skills are required?
Minimum
Experience in Information or Records Management, including managing records or information lifecycles
Experience mitigating Records Management challenges in a large and/or complex organisation
Experience of setting the direction of a programme of work in the Information and/or Records Management fields
Essential
Strong influencing skills, particularly with internal stakeholders
The ability to set, and deliver to, challenging deadlines across a program of work – including multitasking competing priorities
Understanding of risk management as it relates to policy compliance.
Ability to make strong recommendations and defend those recommendations, including during challenge from senior leadership.
Ability to present outcomes clearly and effectively, orally and in writing.
Ability to work collaboratively and deliver through others across the FCA, including senior stakeholders.
