Team/Role Overview
This role is part of the Futures & Derivatives Clearing (FDC) and Equities Operations Program Execution Team, a key component of the Markets Ops Transformation organization within Markets COO. The team drives strategic transformation and delivers Target Operating Models for FDC Operations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As part of its growth strategy, the team is expanding its presence in the Belfast region.
What you’ll do
Manage day-to-day project operations, ensuring alignment with overall objectives and timelines.
Develop and maintain project plans, charters, risk management strategies, and stakeholder management frameworks.
Oversee project execution, ensuring deliverables meet business needs and timelines.
Identify and engage all relevant stakeholders to ensure clear scope definition and milestone alignment.
Monitor project resources, assess risks, and escalate issues where necessary.
Assist with business analysis efforts and lead from the front, ensuring clarity in requirements and execution.
Drive resource planning, performance evaluation, and training for assigned personnel.
Apply sound risk management practices to safeguard the firm’s reputation and ensure regulatory compliance
What we’ll need from you
Excellent Communication Skills: Clearly and effectively conveys information verbally and in writing to diverse audiences (technical teams, stakeholders, clients).
Data Analysis Proficiency: Collect, analyse, and interpret data from various sources to identify insights that inform project decisions and business recommendations. Experience with data visualisation tools is a plus.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Identify and analyse complex business problems, develops creative solutions, and evaluates their potential impact.
Requirements Elicitation and Documentation: Gather and document business requirements through various techniques and translate into clear, concise, and actionable specifications.
Project Management Fundamentals: Demonstrable understanding of project management methodologies and ability to apply them effectively to plan, execute, and monitor projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
Stakeholder Management: manage stakeholder expectations, build relationships, and address concerns proactively.
Operations Knowledge: Possess a solid understanding of business operations, processes, workflows, and their impact on projects and business outcomes. Can identify areas for operational improvement.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with relevant software and tools, such as project management software, data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL), and business intelligence platforms.

Returner Programme
