We’re recruiting for an Audit Manager within Group Internal Audit at Royal London. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced internal auditor to play a key role in protecting the organisation’s assets, reputation and sustainability, while enhancing the overall risk and control environment.

 

You’ll bring strong knowledge of life and pensions products, alongside experience operating in change and transformation environments, helping to ensure key initiatives are delivered with robust risk management and controls in place.

 

As a specialist within the internal audit function, you’ll lead the delivery of impactful audit reviews end-to-end, working closely with senior stakeholders across the Group. You’ll provide insight and challenge on transformation programmes, influence business outcomes, and contribute to embedding a strong risk and control culture across Royal London.

 

 

About the role

 

  • Lead the planning, execution and reporting of internal audit reviews end-to-end, ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality
  • Deliver assurance across business change and transformation initiatives, assessing risks, controls and programme governance
  • Apply specialist knowledge of life and pensions products to provide meaningful audit insights across the product lifecycle
  • Act as a subject matter expert within internal audit, supporting Senior Audit Managers and contributing to audit planning and strategy
  • Engage with and challenge senior stakeholders, including chairing meetings and influencing decisions on risk and control matters
  • Ensure high-quality audit outputs, track audit actions and support their timely resolution
  • Support continuous improvement by embedding data analytics, innovation and best practice into audit delivery.

 

 

About you

 

  • Proven experience working as an internal auditor within a regulated financial services environment
  • Strong understanding of life and pensions products and associated risks across the product lifecycle
  • Significant experience supporting or auditing change, transformation or programme delivery environments
  • Recognised professional qualification with substantial experience in audit, risk or assurance
  • Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical capability, able to interpret complex information and generate clear, actionable insights
  • Proactive, self-driven approach with the ability to work independently and support the development of others.
