Pricing Actuary

We are looking for a qualified commercially minded Actuary to join our Pricing & Trading team within Long Term Savings Commercials. This is an exciting opportunity to apply actuarial expertise to a broad range of financial analysis, pricing, technical work, and business-critical projects. You will use your insight to interpret complex data to provide high-quality recommendations to colleagues across the wider business, deliver timely reporting and to improve processes and controls.  This role offers the chance to make a visible impact, work collaboratively with stakeholders, and help shape effective pricing and trading outcomes in a supportive and inclusive environment.


About the role

•    Deliver high-quality actuarial analysis, modelling and reporting to support business and financial decision-making.
•    Review and interpret complex data, applying sound judgement to produce clear insights and recommendations.
•    Support the production of reports and documentation to agreed standards, timescales, and regulatory requirements.
•    Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and documentation to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
•    Contribute to projects by providing actuarial expertise, constructive challenge, and clear progress updates.
•    Collaborate with stakeholders across the department and wider business to explain findings in a clear, accessible way.


About you

•    Qualified Actuary with strong technical knowledge and experience applying actuarial concepts in a commercial environment (pricing experience would be beneficial).
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work confidently with complex data and models.
•    Can communicate clearly and professionally, adapting your approach for different audiences across the business.
•    Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and a focus on quality, governance, and controls.
•    Enjoy improving processes and finding practical, innovative ways to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
•    Work well both independently and collaboratively, building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
•    Developing and coaching other team members.
