The Opportunity
We are seeking a visionary Enterprise Architect to shape the future of our technology landscape. This is
a pivotal role where you will bridge the gap between business strategy and cutting-edge technology,
driving the architectural vision that powers the world's most trusted financial benchmarks.
You start from the problem statement and work backward to the technology. Your deep functional
expertise in market data, portfolio/index management, and financial data analytics enables you to design
platforms that meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
You will be at the forefront of our AI transformation, championing the adoption of artificial intelligence to
revolutionize how we design, govern, and evolve our systems. If you're passionate about building

What You'll Do
Architecture Governance & AI-Native Transformation
• Pioneer AI-native governance: Drive, lead, and implement AI agents that automate architecture
governance—from initial assessments to permit to operate—setting a new industry standard
• Establish design authorities and lead AI-assisted architecture reviews that ensure quality while
accelerating delivery
• Champion LSEG's architecture standards across the organization, working collaboratively with
engineering leads to define common patterns and best practices
• Translate complex requirements into elegant, actionable solution designs that balance cost,
security, scalability, testability, and maintainability
• Lead with influence by engaging with executives, engineers, and product teams to ensure alignment
with a strong focus towards execution
Technology & Architecture Strategy
• Shape the strategic technology vision that supports our ambition to be the world's #1 benchmark
and indices provider
• Architect high-performance infrastructure on AWS that enables rapid innovation and seamless
delivery across all index types
• Drive AI adoption and emerging technologies, ensuring we stay ahead of industry trends and
regulatory requirements
• Build the platform for innovation through a strong Engineering-Research partnership, enabling
data science to flourish
Business & Product Partnership
• Partner with product, engineering, operations and other business leaders to ensure technology
decisions are aligned with business goals and client needs
• Be a trusted thought partner to Operations and Product, connecting dots across the organization to
identify synergies and drive alignment
• Bridge the gap between various departments to identify partnerships and create alignment towards
common objectives
Leadership & Change Management
• Engage, mentor, and inspire cross-functional teams to drive technology transformation
• Simplify complexity: Distill intricate challenges into clear, actionable deliverables enabling
business-wide innovation
What You Bring
Technical Expertise
• Cloud architecture mastery: Proficiency in AWS cloud-native architectures, with strong
understanding of reliable, secured, maintainable architectures and the right trade-offs between cost,
security, scalability, testability, and maintainability
• Market data systems experience: Significant background in market data, portfolio/index
management, or financial data analytics
• Real-time systems knowledge: Understanding of real-time systems and/or cloud-based real-time
methodologies
• AI advocate: Hands-on experience using AI technologies to disrupt current ways of working and
achieve unprecedented levels of productivity
Business Acumen
• Capital markets expertise: Strong knowledge of capital markets and financial instruments
• Product-technology balance: Good balance between engineering, operational, and financial
product expertise
Leadership & Communication
• Executive presence: Good communication skills with the ability to influence C-level executives and

• Transformation track record: Proven success delivering large-scale technology transformations that

• Not a struict requirement but nice to have AWS Certified Architect certification

Returner Programme
As part of our Global Parental Leave offering, from 1st July 2024 all parents returning from any type of family leave (Global Parental Leave, UK Maternity, Paternity, Adoption or Shared Parental Leave) are eligible to an eight-week phased return to work, working 80% of normal hours at full pay. Additionally, LSEG is introducing enhanced leave to support families whose children require neonatal care.
