Job Description

Contract type: Permanent
Location: Glasgow
Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Delivery Lead – Data Transformation to join Royal London’s Group Data & AI Office. Working with teams across Data, Transformation, Technology and enabling functions, you’ll lead the delivery of data transformation work aligned to the Transformation roadmap, Reference Data Architecture, Data Capabilities Model and business priorities.

You’ll manage data-specific projects across the full lifecycle, covering stakeholder engagement, planning, governance, risk, finance, resources, business cases and mobilisation. This includes delivery across data design, integration, migration, quality and management, ensuring outcomes align to the Data Strategy roadmap and embed ‘Data by Design’ beyond project closure.

More About the role:

  • Lead complex data transformation delivery, setting clear goals aligned to organisational strategy, the Data Strategy roadmap and business priorities.
  • Provide strong stakeholder management and influence across Group Data Office, Transformation, Technology, suppliers and senior business stakeholders.
  • Apply data-specific delivery methodologies, including data governance frameworks, data quality management, integration, migration and sustainability best practice.
  • Plan and manage programme fundamentals including scope, schedules, resources, budgets, risks, issues, opportunities, quality requirements and governance controls.
  • Ensure the right data skills and resources are matched to project requirements, while applying change, risk and resource management principles when needed.
  • Operate across the full project lifecycle, ensuring data design is embedded from inception to warranty and assessing upstream and downstream data dependencies.
  • Monitor performance, establish reviews, improve ways of working and support the transition of programme outcomes and benefits into business as usual.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale or complex Data Integration, Transformation or Separation programmes, ideally within Financial Services.
  • Proven background as a Data Delivery Transformation Lead, Programme Manager or Project Manager, with experience leading complex change initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile delivery, ideally including SAFe, alongside performance evaluation techniques, key metrics and continuous improvement approaches.
  • Excellent planning, scheduling and organisational skills, with the ability to control complex activities across interrelated project and BAU teams.
  • Strong capability across data analysis, reporting, financial management and budgeting, supported by analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly effective leadership, delegation, team building, networking, presentation and negotiation skills across large business change programmes.
  • Excellent stakeholder, supplier and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior audiences, manage client situations and communicate strategy effectively.
