Citi is looking for a Business Senior Analyst - Data & Governance to play a central role in shaping the data and analytical foundations that drive vendor management, commercial negotiations, and technology financial decisions across the business. Analyze and reconcile financial, contractual, and operational data from multiple sources to produce a unified, accurate view that informs vendor negotiations and commercial decisions.
Deliver data-driven insights that support cost analysis, budgeting activities, and negotiation strategies across vendor and sourcing teams.
Evaluate technology-related expenditures, including hardware and software, to surface financial trends, risks, and opportunities for the business.
Develop reports, dashboards, and executive-ready presentations that translate complex data into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Define data requirements in partnership with finance, sourcing, and technology teams to improve the usability and reliability of information across functions.
Support data governance processes that maintain the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data used by vendor management teams.
Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of processes that strengthen transparency, traceability, and governance of technology infrastructure data.
Apply analytical tools and emerging technologies, including AI, to increase the efficiency and depth of analysis delivered to the business.
5-8 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or financial analysis within a corporate or technology environment.
Demonstrated ability to work with large, complex datasets and translate findings into meaningful, actionable insights for business stakeholders.
Proficiency with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or Tableau to interrogate and visualize data at scale.
Solid grasp of financial concepts, including cost analysis, budgeting, and technology expenditure evaluation.
Knowledge of relational databases and data management principles, with a focus on data quality and governance.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to build executive-ready outputs independently.
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Familiarity with AI tools and concepts applied to data analysis or productivity improvement.
Experience working within vendor management, sourcing, or commercial finance functions.
Exposure to governance frameworks or audit-ready data processes within a regulated or corporate environment.
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
