Are you looking for a career move that will put you at the heart of a global financial institution? Then bring your skills in analysis, problem solving and communication to Citi’s Services Liquidity Management Services Team. By Joining Citi, you will become part of a global organisation whose mission is to serve as a trusted partner to our clients by responsibly providing financial services that enable growth and economic progress.
Team/Role Overview:
The individual will join the Application Production Support team for the Services Liquidity suite of enterprise-critical applications. Services Liquidity is one of Citi's most important businesses, delivering solutions that enable corporate treasurers and clients globally to manage their liquidity efficiently and to manage risk effectively and reliably.
This is an established, globally distributed team operating across the EMEA, NAM, and APAC regions to deliver 24/7, follow-the-sun production support, ensuring the stability, availability, and resilience of these critical platforms. The successful candidate will join the EMEA team based in Belfast, providing support coverage during EMEA business hours.
On a day-to-day basis, the role partners closely with development teams, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, and management across multiple technology areas to ensure functions are integrated effectively and business goals are met. What makes the team interesting is its direct impact on a mission-critical global business, its exposure to complex, high-impact platforms, and its adoption of modern tooling — including Citi's AI tools — to resolve issues faster and drive continuous improvement.
What you’ll do:
Incident Management & Root Cause Analysis — Perform root cause analysis on production incidents and deliver timely technical resolutions to protect platform stability and availability.
Problem Debugging & Resolution — Debug complex issues arising on the platform and identify effective solutions, leveraging Citi's AI tools to accelerate diagnosis and remediation.
Release & Deployment Support — Execute release deployment activities and post-release validation to ensure smooth, low-risk changes.
Reporting & Data Analysis — Write complex SQL queries to produce reports and insights for business users.
Cross-Team Partnership and stakeholder management — Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, and multiple technology teams to document system impacts and support requirements.
System Analysis & Enhancement — Analyze existing system logic, identify problems, and recommend enhancements for complex, high-impact applications.
What we’ll need from you:
Are you an experienced application support professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment and enjoys working in partnership with global colleagues? If so, we'd love to hear from you. To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Strong hands-on technical expertise across the core technology stack, including Java, WebSphere, TIBCO EMS, IBM MQ, and IBM Connect Direct.
Solid database and data skills, with proven experience in Oracle, MongoDB, and PL/SQL, including the ability to write complex SQL queries to support analysis and reporting.
Practical experience with cloud and container platforms, notably OpenShift and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), together with release and deployment tooling such as UDeploy.
Proficiency with application monitoring and observability tools such as Kibana, Splunk, and AppDynamics to proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve production issues.
A strong problem-solving and incident-management mindset, with the ability to perform root cause analysis, debug complex issues, and deliver timely, effective resolutions — including leveraging Citi's AI tools.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills, with experience working in a global, follow-the-sun support team and partnering across development, product, and business functions.

We strive to create the best outcomes for our clients and customers with financial ingenuity that leads to solutions that are simple, creative and responsible.
"We consistently assess Citi’s role in response to three questions: What are we doing to help create inclusive and resilient communities? How can we use our voice to help drive dialogue toward solutions? Is Citi walking the talk — are we doing the right things within our own firm? The short answer to all three of these questions continues to be the same: that we can and should do more."
