JOB TITLE: Associate Director - Professional and Fiduciary Services (Parental Cover – 12-months FTC)

LOCATION: London

HOURS: Full Time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least three days per week, or 60% of your time, at our London office or meeting with clients.

About This Opportunity

Step into a pivotal role as an Associate Director within our leading Professional and Fiduciary Services team, where you'll have the chance to further strengthen and elevate our position within the sector. Our team supports a portfolio of high-profile, sophisticated clients generating more than £500 million in revenue across the Accountancy, Consultancy, Legal, Real Estate and Fiduciary Services sectors, spanning the UK, US and Crown Dependencies.

The high-performing Professional & Fiduciary Services team is on an exciting journey, and this role offers the opportunity to lead key client relationships while helping shape the wider strategy and direction of the sector. You'll have the chance to make a tangible impact, driving commercial growth and innovation in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment, where topics such as AI, digital transformation and capital structure are increasingly shaping client discussions.

Your accountabilities will include:

  • Lead and support client relationships by bringing strategic ideas, insight and a clear understanding of client needs, connecting clients with the Bank’s product suite to support their objectives while meeting the Bank’s credit and profitability requirements.

  • Build deep sector knowledge and broad product expertise to provide clients with actionable insights and opportunities to grow income sustainably.

  • Coach and support junior colleagues, developing them through stretching objectives, regular feedback and development-focused conversations, while demonstrating and embedding LBG Group Values.

  • Review client proposals to ensure they meet client needs, proactively find opportunities to develop further income and recommend appropriate solutions with product partners.

  • Prepare and monitor account plans across the portfolio, helping to strengthen existing relationships and identify prospective new-to-bank opportunities within the sector.

  • Develop a broad network of internal and external partners to build the team’s profile across the Bank and in the wider market.

  • Help maintain a customer-centric culture throughout the relationship lifecycle, supporting positive customer outcomes and alignment with Conduct objectives.

What We Need From You

  • Strong experience in a relationship management, client coverage or similar front-office banking role, typically gained over 5+ years.

  • Experience working with Corporate, Professional or Fiduciary clients, with a strong understanding of their challenges, priorities and requirements.

  • Outstanding relationship-building skills, able to develop positive relationships and collaborate effectively across internal and external networks.

  • A commercial approach and credit analysis skills, able to translate data and client insight into meaningful, actionable solutions.

  • Experience building networks and acting as an ambassador for the Bank in the external market.

  • Confidence presenting propositions and ideas, shaping discussions and influencing outcomes with senior partners and executives.

  • Able to creatively solve problems and prioritise decisions related to customer propositions, supporting good customer outcomes and best-in-class solutions.

This role is considered Certified under the Senior Manager and Certification Regime as either requiring mandatory qualifications or being deemed as a role capable of providing ‘significant harm’ to customers. Due to this, successful candidates will be subject to enhanced levels of vetting, and required to complete a fitness and propriety attestation on commencement in role. Colleagues performing this role will be required to be complete a fitness and propriety attestation on an annual basis and will also be subject to additional routine criminal and credit checks

This role has been identified as a Client-dealing function under SYSC 27.8.18R as defined in the FCA Handbook

If you manage certified colleagues this role will be identified as Manager of certification employees under SYSC 27.8.13R as defined in the FCA Handbook(1) The function of managing or supervising a certification employee, directly or indirectly, is an FCA-specified significant-harm function.(2) A function in (1) is not an FCA certification function for that firm if it is performed by an SMF manager of that firm.
