Team/Role Overview:
The successful candidate will join the Global Custody Production Support organization and be responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and operational excellence of a suite of business-critical custody and settlement applications. The role focuses on distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, microservices, and modern observability platforms supporting securities processing and settlement functions.
This position combines traditional application support responsibilities with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, automation, resiliency engineering, and operational risk management. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving platform reliability, reducing operational toil, and driving continuous service improvements through engineering-led solutions.
What you’ll do:
Lead and coordinate investigation and resolution of production incidents across multiple applications and technology domains.
Confidently communicate outage impacts, recovery plans, and risk assessments to stakeholders across Technology, Operations, and Business teams.
Partner with Development, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to improve system resilience, performance, supportability, and operational readiness.
Execute application-level recovery testing and support enterprise resiliency programs.
Participate in Incident, Problem, Change, Availability, and Capacity Management processes.
Ensure operational procedures, support documentation, and knowledge articles remain current and effective.
What we’ll need from you:
Experience supporting enterprise-scale distributed applications within a financial services or mission-critical technology environment.
Proven experience in Production Support, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Support, or similar technical operations roles.
Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating major incident responses.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a structured approach to troubleshooting complex issues.
Experience leading cross-functional teams during high-pressure production incidents.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including interaction with senior management and business partners.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.
Strong collaboration, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
Service-oriented mindset with a commitment to operational excellence.
Passion for learning and adopting emerging technologies that enhance support effectiveness and innovation.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
Master's Degree preferred.
ITIL Foundation, Cloud Certifications, or relevant industry certifications are advantageous.
