This is a chance to help shape the pricing strategy for the UK’s largest personal loans provider, supporting customers to borrow responsibly while helping the business grow in a fair, sustainable and commercially disciplined way.
Lloyds Banking Group is the UK’s number one provider of personal loans, with 24% stock market share and £11bn of customer balances. Our Loans business has grown consistently over recent years, and we have ambitious plans to continue growing balance sheet, market share, income and profit across our six-year operating plan.
As Loans Pricing Manager, you’ll play a key role in optimising customer pricing across Lloyds, Halifax, Bank of Scotland and MBNA, as well as our own and third-party digital channels. You’ll use data, analytics, market insight and commercial judgement to shape pricing decisions that deliver fair value for customers, support responsible lending and remain within risk appetite.
You’ll own and develop our “best in class” loans pricing strategy, leading front-book margin planning and individual customer pricing using advanced analytics and pricing models. You’ll also work closely with senior leaders across Loans, Credit Risk, Finance, Treasury and our third-party partners to develop pricing recommendations, secure approvals and influence the wider commercial agenda.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining a clear view of front-book profitability, including funding costs, expected loss rates, cost assumptions, capital impacts and wider market dynamics. You’ll also own pricing and profitability forecasts, covering lending, balance sheet growth, market share and margin outlook.
If you think all banks are the same, you’re wrong. We’re a pioneering, fast-changing business that’s shaping finance as a force for good. If you’re after a role where you can have an impact and do the best work of your career, you’ve just found it.
3+ years’ experience in pricing, commercial analytics, credit risk, financial services analytics, or a highly numerical commercial role, with a strong understanding of financial performance drivers, profitability and margin management.
3+ years’ experience using data, insight and analytics to shape commercial recommendations, influence decisions and identify opportunities that balance customer outcomes with business performance.
3+ years’ experience building, validating or interpreting analytical models used for pricing, forecasting, segmentation, customer analytics or profitability analysis.
3+ years’ experience working with data and visualisation tools such as Python, SQL, SAS, Power BI, Tableau, machine learning tools, cloud-based data platforms or similar analytical technologies.
Proven experience influencing senior stakeholders, translating complex data into clear recommendations, and presenting insight in a way that supports decision-making.
Strong market awareness, with the ability to interpret customer trends, competitor activity, external market conditions and regulatory developments to shape commercial strategy.
Experience in unsecured lending, personal loans, credit cards, consumer finance, retail banking or another regulated lending environment.
Experience working with pricing governance, credit risk appetite, fair value, responsible lending or regulatory pricing considerations.
Experience partnering with Treasury, Finance, Credit Risk, Product, Digital or third-party suppliers to deliver commercial outcomes.
Experience using advanced analytics, machine learning, agentic AI or cloud-native tools such as Google Cloud Platform.

Returner opportunities
Returning to work after time away can be challenging. That’s why we offer Returner opportunities that are designed to assist people returning to work after a career break of 18 months or more and our roles are permanent from the day one. Whether you’ve been away from work due to parenthood, illness, or even travel, we’re looking forward to hearing from you as we continue to grow!
What can you expect?
Coming back into the world of work after a career break can be really daunting – and we therefore know how important flexibility is. We’re very aware that ‘normal’ office hours aren’t always doable, so will happily have the discussion about different working patterns with you.
These roles have been created with your career break in mind, making sure we are there to support you in your transition back to work. You will be brought in on a permanent contract and given meaningful work from day one. Plus, you’ll be paired with a buddy or mentor from your team to help guide you along the way. You’ll also benefit from being part of the wider Returners Community and have the chance to create a personal development plan that works for you.
Who are we looking for?
While banking or professional services experience is desirable, especially for some roles, we care more about the transferable skills you can bring to our business.
Testimonials
I had a good network of colleagues already working for Lloyds Banking Group, who were all very passionate about their roles - so it felt the right choice for me and gave me the courage to apply for a Business Analyst role through the Returners. It was a seamless recruitment experience and I was offered a role in the work I wanted to do.
Olufunke Oladinni, Business Analyst
I love being a Project Manager, and I can’t recommend the Lloyds Banking Group Returners enough. It’ll springboard your career, giving you the best opportunity to relaunch yourself and maximise your full potential.
