The Opportunity
The Citi Commercial Bank Head of Digital Technology & Communications (DT&C) for UK, Europe, and Middle East & Africa (“MEA”) provides executive leadership across multiple teams of Relationship Managers (RMs), Team Leaders, and product specialists. The role requires an in-depth understanding of how the DT&C sub-function contributes to achieving the broader commercial, financial, and strategic objectives of the franchise.
The Head of DT&C must possess an advanced understanding of the digital technology, communications, media, software/SaaS, digital infrastructure, telecommunications, AI ecosystems and platform ecosystems, including direct competitors’ capabilities, market disruptions, VC/PE sponsorship models, and evolving capitalization structures.
Excellent communication skills are required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary. The person will determine the approach to implementing functional strategy and will be accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the business. The role has full management responsibility for multiple teams, including management of people, budget, and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval. The individual may be involved or responsible for diverse (cross-discipline) activities.

Returner Programme
