Role/Team Overview
Citi’s Strategic Equity Solutions (“SES”) Advisory business partners with leading alternative asset managers to develop and execute strategic capital and liquidity solutions across the private markets ecosystem. Working with sponsors across private equity, infrastructure, private credit and real estate, the Advisory team originates, structures and executes a broad range of transactions, including continuation vehicles, preferred equity investments and other bespoke strategic capital solutions.
We are seeking an experienced Analyst or Associate to join our Advisory team. This individual will work closely with senior bankers and clients throughout the lifecycle of complex transactions while helping expand one of Citi’s fastest-growing advisory businesses.
As a lean, entrepreneurial team within Citi’s global Investment Banking and Markets platform, professionals are given early responsibility, direct client exposure and the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to both transaction execution and the continued growth of the business.
This role offers significant client exposure, meaningful transaction responsibility and the opportunity to work alongside senior decision-makers at many of the world’s leading alternative asset managers.
What you'll do
Support the origination and execution of continuation vehicles, preferred equity investments and other strategic capital solutions.
Build sophisticated financial models, valuation analyses and transaction structures at both the portfolio company and fund level.
Develop client presentations, strategic analyses, marketing materials and investment committee documentation.
Conduct financial, commercial and structural due diligence across complex private markets transactions.
Coordinate execution processes with clients, legal counsel, accounting firms, financing providers and other advisors.
Support investor marketing efforts, including preparation of marketing materials, management presentations, investor due diligence and transaction execution.
Work closely with Sponsor Coverage, Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Financing and other product partners across Citi to deliver integrated client solutions.
Monitor market developments across GP-led secondaries, private capital formation and broader strategic capital solutions.
Contribute to internal market intelligence, analytical tools, thought leadership and business development initiatives supporting the continued expansion of the Advisory platform.
What we'll need from you
2–5 years of experience in investment banking, secondaries advisory, private equity, infrastructure investing, private credit, valuation advisory or another relevant financial advisory role.
Strong financial modeling, valuation and analytical skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong attention to detail, sound judgment and excellent project management skills.
Demonstrated interest in private markets, alternative asset management and strategic advisory.

Regulatory Information
Candidates applying for this role must be aware that it is a Certified Role, subject to the FCA and PRA Certification Regime. The Certification Regime is one element of the Individual Accountability Regime which came into effect on 7 March 2016.
